Exclusive Hot Air Balloon Flight for Two from Red Letter Days

Have you ever looked up to see a hot air balloon drifting silently overhead? With this experience it'll be you in the basket of the balloon, looking down. First you'll meet your pilot and get a flight safety briefing, before helping to prepare and inflate the balloon. Then you'll climb into the basket - just you two and your pilot - ready for launching. You'll fly at heights of up to 5,000 feet, enjoying 360 degree beautiful views as the countryside awakes, and the restful peace and quiet (except for when the propane burners are going, that is). Because the balloon moves with the wind, you'll feel no wind at all, just sheer enjoyment. After landing you can help the crew pack the balloon away, before a celebratory glass of champagne (or a soft drink). Then you'll be driven back to the launch site. You'll be presented with a commemorative flight certificate, and some centres also offer the chance to purchase an in-flight photo.

Availability: Weekdays (excluding bank holidays), usually from March/April to October/November. Flights take place at dawn, when the air is at its most stable.Weather: Ballooning is extremely weather dependent - it is crucial that you call the venue before your flight. If postponed, you'll be offered an alternative date and can also request an alternative location (please contact the operator to arrange).Duration: The experience normally lasts for three to four hours, including one hour to inflate the balloon, around an hour and a half in the air and one hour for packing the balloon away and returning to the launch site.Numbers On Day: The flight is exclusive to the two of you and your pilot.Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch the launch (a wonderful sight) and wave you off. A pair of binoculars or a camera will come in handy.Dress Code: Wear trousers, long sleeves and sensible footwear (no high heels please). Bring a hat - the heat from the burner overhead can be intense. Please don't wear loose scarves or jewellery. Bear in mind that launch and landing sites can be muddy.Guidelines: Your voucher entitles you to a minimum of five attempts at rebooking during a one year period (from your booking), should any weather cancellation/s prevent it going ahead.Restrictions: Maximum weight is 18 stone.
